Anthony J. Scarsella, M.D., M.A. ,is President and Medical Director. He joined Pacific Oaks Medical Group in 1986 to care for HIV+ patients as the epidemic began to claim those in the local community. Dr. Scarsella developed Consolidated Laboratory Services first to better treat his patients in the practice, but by the 1990's the laboratory had developed a national reputation as a leader in HIV clinical trial methodology. Under Dr. Scarsella's direction, Consolidated Laboratory Services continues to remain at the forefront of laboratory techniques for Infectious Diseases, Oncology and Neurological Disorders.
Dr. Scarsella received his Master's degree for molecular biology from UC Berkeley and his M D from UC San Francisco. He is fully boarded in Family Medicine and accredited as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. He has been honored by the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center for his work in HIV teaching. Dr. Scarsella is affiliated with many hospitals including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and is active in many societies and organizations.

Noemi Amitina, M.D., Ph.D. joined Consolidated Laboratory Services as Medical Director in 2002. Growing up in Estonia as the daughter of two physicians, Dr. Amitina developed an early interest in medicine as she realized that the academic pathway would allow her opportunities for professional and personal growth. After graduating from the high-ranked Moscow Medical School with a M.D., she furthered her health-science education with a Ph.D. in Virology. Her research has focused on viral infections, molecular epidemiology and oncology. Emigrating to the United States in 1993, Dr. Amitina continued to look for a practical application to theoretical medicine. She completed residency training in Laboratory Medicine in 2000 at Maimonides Medical Center, NY and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, LA. Dr. Amitina is board certified in Anatomical/Clinical Pathology and Molecular Genetics Pathology. With her years of experience and extensive knowledge, Dr. Amitina continues to push Consolidated Laboratory Services to the forefront of cutting edge technology for modern Diagnostics Medicine.

Dr. Shing-Yi Lee is Director, Molecular Diagnostics. Dr. Lee joined Consolidated Laboratory Services in 1998 and brings over 25 years of experience in research, method development and assay validation. Dr. Lee has been involved in numerous clinical trials and was a principal investigator in the first FDA cleared commercial kit for HIV genotyping. Dr. Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, and received her doctorate from the University of Southern California (USC) in Experimental Pathology. She did postdoctoral fellowship training with the National Institute of Health AIDS program, is a member of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) and a life member of USC Alumni. Dr. Lee is licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in California as well as certified with High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) in Molecular Diagnostics from American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB).

Lorraine Brigham, MT. is the Laboratory Manager. She joined Consolidated Laboratory Services in 2006 and brings with her over 25 years of clinical laboratory experience with high volume samples. Ms. Brigham received her laboratory training while in the United States Air Force and worked in a small, remote laboratory in Turkey. She then went on to hold supervisory positions in 2 large, national laboratories before bringing her expertise, quality control, and instrumentation skills to Consolidated. Ms. Brigham is a licensed Medical Technologist and Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Connie Raines is Project Manager Supervisor. Joining Consolidated Laboratory Services in 1996, Ms. Raines brings an extensive client relations background to the Project Management Team. With over 12 years experience at Consolidated, Ms. Raines has extensive knowledge and experience of every aspect of Clinical Trial Management from contract award to study closure. She closely interacts with all clinical testing, logistical, storage, and data management divisions to ensure that all tasks, timelines and milestones are met. Ms. Raines has a degree in Health Management and has attended many courses in Applied GCP, GLP, Document Control, and Quality Management.

Doria Gould-Honda, MT(ASCP), is Quality Assurance Manager at Consolidated Laboratory Services since 2002. Ms. Gould-Honda has a 16 year background as a QA Manager in both large and small reference laboratories. Prior to QA management she served as a Clinical Tech Specialist for UCLA Medical Center. Ms. Gould-Honda uses her extensive experience in quality improvement / quality assurance to ensure the highest level of excellence in all the aspects of the clinical testing environment. Ms. Gould-Honda’s duties include maintaining the many licensures and certifications as required by different state, federal and national agencies, and ensuring that the lab participate in proficiency testing programs. Ms. Gould-Honda holds a Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology from California State University, Los Angeles, is a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the State of California and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists in Medical Technology.
Ken Low is the Director, Information Technology. Joining Consolidated Laboratory Services in 1999, Mr. Low has over 15 years administration experience in database driven IT systems and multiple platforms. As Director, Mr. Low is responsible for overseeing all clinical data formats and transfers and ensuring that his department maintains cGLP and cGCP. Mr. Low is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a CIS Major at California State University, Los Angeles.

Patrick Rea, President of The Rea Company, is the Human Resources Administrator. With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Rea has been instrumental in overseeing the human resource function at Consolidated Laboratory Services since 2002. He holds a degree in business with a minor in industrial relations from California Polytechnic University and specializes in many areas including management training and staff development. Mr. Rea is a dynamic speaker and combined with his extensive experience, is frequently requested to present before professional and service organizations. He is past president of the Southern California Chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants.
Robert Kamberg joined Consolidated Laboratory Services in 2005 as Controller and Senior Accountant Consultant. Mr. Kamberg brings over 25 years of financial experience, including roles at several major public companies, and has been instrumental in numerous financial and operational activities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Terry Williams is Executive Operations Assistant. Mr. Williams has been with the company for over twenty years and is an integral part of the daily management of the business. He parlays his extensive background in marketing into a successful management style that inspires employees to perform at their highest level. Mr. Williams is responsible for maintaining project budgets, bringing in new equipment as needed, and ensuring all corporate and departmental policies are followed.
